Moparuk is primarily an image heavy site created by UK Mopar photographer Dave McBride, born in Coleraine, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland and now based in South Oxfordshire, England. After 25 years in the music business he decided to lay down his drumsticks 5 years ago and get back to photography and his passion for Muscle Cars. Some of you may remember him as the powerhouse drummer behind bands like LaSalle (live in Los Angeles videos - Carnival, Freedom, Curious/Say Goodbye, Wild), Thawn, The Diamond Geezers, Medusa, Mississippi Sheikhs, Stone Free or Uncertain Trumpet during the 80's and 90's.

The purpose of this site is to provide a photographic window on the UK Mopar scene, supported by high quality digital imagery shot on the latest Canon professional DSLR's, currently an EOS 5D and EOS 20D plus several L series lenses (100-400mm, 24-105mm, 17-40mm) and a barrage of 550EX Speedlites. The galleries cover most of the main static shows and RWYB events in the south of England where many 60's and 70's Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler cars can be seen. All the images (except the 1966-74 Charger gallery) are available as either high quality photographic prints or as a large canvas - see the "picture sales" page for details. I am open to enquiries from stock image libraries should you wish to use any images from this site. I also have a site dedicated to the artistic side of my work at www.dmbphotographic.co.uk where you may find other fine art and illustrations of interest to muscle car enthusiasts.

Moparuk is also slightly favourable towards the Dodge Charger (which is in my opinion the ultimate in Musclecars) and is dedicated to the memory of my old '72 Charger which to date has been my one and only Mopar. So for Charger fanatics everywhere, I have included a special 1966 - 1974 Dodge Charger gallery. Click on the links above to navigate through the pages, and thank you for your visit.

While you browse through this site please take a moment and spare a thought for the millions of animals abused at the hands of humans in the name of fashion and food. Peta do a fantastic job creating awareness of the atrocious cruelty inflicted upon innocent animals by the food and clothing industries, animal "entertainment" and animal experimentation. Many companies have changed the way they treat animals through Peta's influence but sadly there are many more out there who put profit before animal care. Their work is not only limited to large companies, many private individuals have been prosecuted for cruelty and abuse toward domestic and/or wild animals. This is not a Peta sponsored ad, I have put this here myself in the hope that it will change someone's attitude to animals....and if it saves the life or eases the suffering of only one, it will have been be worth it.
